Wanaka Entertainment Wanaka Entertainment New Zealand. Wanaka has a diverse range of Entertainment to suit all tastes and budgets. Its varied Nightlife and assortment of Live Entertainment adds to its unique flavour.
Wanaka has a number of walking tracks in and around the surrounding Wanaka area, for a walkers of all levels and abilities.
Mt Iron is situated about one kilometre east of Wanaka's central township. It takes around 1.5 hours round trip. From the summit you can fantastic view of Lake Wanaka township and surrounding areas.
Mt Roy track is through private farmland and starts six kilometres out of Wanaka heading towards the Matukituki Valley and Mt Aspiring National Park. This walk takes 6-7 hours return trip, and ascends a rather steep slope. Views from the top are prehaps some of the best you will find in the Wanaka region.
Mt Maude track starts about 5 kms out of Wanaka on the Wanaka to Hawea road, and takes between 2-3 hours return from the first summit point. From here you get a great view of both Lake Wanaka and Hawea.
Outlet Trackthrough to Albert Town takes around one hour. It follows the Clutha River 1 km downstream from the lake outlet from which you can enjoy beautiful views across the water.
Diamond Lake This track takes walkers to the summit of Rocky Hill and gives visitors an idea of how Ice Age glaciers shaped the landscape. Track starts 20 minutes drive from Wanaka, on the Mt Aspiring Road and is around three hours return.
